DLM Is Taking Formal Action Concerning Reddit Content and the Impact on Our Rollout

An important update for participating businesses, prospective businesses, community managers, property managers, and others depending on the continued expansion of the DLM platform.

Published: August 23, 2026 Issued by: DLM Property Management Status: Active Review and Formal Response

We believe our business community deserves to understand why portions of DLM's rollout have moved more slowly than originally anticipated and what we are doing about it.

DLM is taking formal action concerning Reddit and specific content published about our company that we believe contains materially inaccurate or misleading claims. We are preparing formal legal demands, documenting the impact of the disputed content, requesting preservation of relevant information, and evaluating additional remedies with legal counsel.

This situation has moved beyond online criticism. We believe the circulation of disputed claims has created unnecessary hesitation among some prospective businesses and has contributed to a slower rollout. When the rollout slows, the businesses depending on DLM for future work can also be affected because opportunities may reach them later than originally anticipated.

Our concern is not criticism. People are free to question DLM, disagree with our business model, or describe genuine experiences. Our concern involves statements that we believe misstate material facts about what DLM is, what we do, how our program operates, and whether our operations are legitimate.

Why DLM Is Taking Action

Reddit gives users and moderators numerous tools for reporting, restricting, removing, and moderating content. Our experience, however, has highlighted what we believe is a serious problem for legitimate businesses trying to correct materially misleading claims.

A damaging allegation can be posted publicly, repeated by other users, indexed by search engines, and potentially influence how prospective customers and AI-powered search systems perceive a company. At the same time, businesses attempting to provide important facts and context can face moderation restrictions, account limitations, subreddit rules, or accusations of self-promotion.

DLM believes businesses should have a meaningful opportunity to present verifiable facts when serious allegations about their legitimacy are being circulated.

Our Broader Rollout Began July 1, 2026

DLM's broader rollout began on July 1, 2026. We remain in the early stages of that rollout.

Yet conclusions have already been published online about whether our model works, whether participating businesses will receive opportunities, and whether the services we provide are legitimate. Some of these conclusions were made before the client-outreach portion of our rollout had even begun.

That timing matters. An outreach program cannot fairly be judged by results before the applicable outreach period has had an opportunity to operate.

Important Facts About the DLM Rollout

Businesses Have Received Work Businesses have already received work during the beginning stages of the rollout.
Business Grants Have Been Issued DLM has issued grants to businesses as part of our commitment to the business community.
Our Teams Are Actively Working Some community and property managers are dedicating approximately 40 to 60 hours per week to accelerate the rollout.
Florida Pilot Program Has Been Tested Our Florida pilot program has already been tested. In response to questions raised about DLM's legitimacy, we have provided supporting information including client data, amounts spent, and masked addresses to demonstrate actual program activity, real spending, and real clients served.

In addition, DLM's pilot program out of Florida has already been tested. To provide further transparency, we have supplied supporting information including client data, amounts spent, and masked addresses in order to demonstrate real activity, real expenditures, and actual services connected to our operations.

DLM has also taken additional steps to demonstrate actual business activity and clients served because questions were raised online regarding our legitimacy.

Understanding the $120 Client-Outreach Program

The $120 associated with our business outreach program is designated toward client outreach activities. Those activities can include work performed by community managers through:

  • Text messaging
  • Email outreach
  • Telephone outreach
  • Direct community engagement
  • Door-to-door outreach

These efforts involve real personnel, communications services, technology, time, coordination, and operational expenses. We believe it is misleading to evaluate the success or legitimacy of this outreach before the applicable outreach phase has had the opportunity to occur.

Why the Slowdown Matters to Participating Businesses

This is the primary reason we are making this announcement to our business community.

When DLM's rollout is slowed, opportunities for participating businesses may also arrive later.

Many businesses are depending on our platform to help generate additional customers and future work. Some businesses may be making staffing, purchasing, scheduling, capacity, or expansion decisions in anticipation of future opportunities through DLM.

We want to understand whether the slower rollout is creating a measurable financial or operational impact on those businesses.

Businesses Should Begin Documenting Any Measurable Impact

We are asking participating businesses to maintain accurate records if they believe the slower rollout is affecting their operations.

Examples may include:

  • Equipment purchased in preparation for anticipated work
  • Staffing decisions made in anticipation of additional opportunities
  • Capacity reserved for expected jobs
  • Business expansion decisions connected to participation with DLM
  • Operational expenses incurred in preparation for rollout
  • Delayed opportunities resulting from a market launching later than anticipated
  • Other measurable and documented financial or operational effects

Businesses should retain receipts, invoices, emails, staffing records, communications, schedules, and other documentation that may help explain the circumstances.

There May Be Additional Steps

DLM is currently evaluating the circumstances surrounding the slowdown and the resulting impact on our company and participating businesses.

As this review progresses, certain businesses may be contacted for additional information or documentation. There are additional actions being evaluated that we are not prepared to announce publicly at this time.

If future legal remedies, settlements, recoveries, compensation, or other remedies become available, we want to make sure that the impact on participating businesses is properly documented and considered.

DLM cannot promise compensation, guarantee recovery, or determine today whether any particular business has a legally compensable loss. Those issues will depend on the facts, evidence, applicable law, and advice of legal counsel.

What we can do now is make sure our business community is informed and that businesses understand the importance of keeping accurate records.

DLM Has Never Hidden From Questions

DLM has repeatedly invited people with concerns to attend our Friday calls and ask questions directly.

Questions about our rollout, outreach program, grants, participating businesses, community managers, operations, and business model are welcome.

We have even stated that anyone with serious concerns about DLM's legitimacy is welcome to invite a representative from the Better Business Bureau to participate in the discussion.

We are willing to answer difficult questions and provide appropriate clarification. There is a significant difference between questioning a company and presenting materially disputed claims as established facts without providing the complete context.

The Rollout Is Continuing

Despite these challenges, DLM's rollout has not stopped.

Our teams continue working. Businesses continue being onboarded. Communities continue being developed. Our technology and operations continue advancing. Businesses have already begun receiving work, and our larger client-outreach efforts remain ahead of us.

We remain committed to the opportunity we are building for homeowners, participating businesses, community managers, and property managers.

Our message to every DLM business is simple:

We know portions of the rollout have been slowed.
We are taking formal action concerning the circumstances we believe contributed to that slowdown.
We are documenting the impact.
And we intend to make sure the businesses depending on DLM are not forgotten as this matter moves forward.

DLM will provide additional updates to our business community as appropriate.
